This is an old cigarette card from Wings cigarettes. These cards were included with the cigarettes and they are sometimes called tobacco cards. This is one of fifty modern airplanes as the set was called. It is a US Army Attack Bomber. Technically, this is a Stearman X-100, one of the most efficient military bombers of its time. It was powered by twin 1400 Pratt and Whitney Wasp engines. With its retractable landing gear it was capable of reaching speeds of 275mph. The overall range of this plane was 1200 miles and it had the capacity to carry more than 5400 pounds. The most impressive of its specs however, was the ability to climb at 3100 feet per minute.
