Fleetwings Seabird Airplane

Description:

This is an old cigarette card from Wings cigarettes. These cards were included with the cigarettes and they are sometimes called tobacco cards. This is one of fifty modern airplanes as the set was called. It is a Fleetwings Seabird. This was a four passenger amphiboius aircraft built entirely out of stainless steel. The stainless construction made it corrosion and rust proof. It was capable of carrying a payload of over 3800 pounds. Its top speed was rated at 150 mph and it could cruise at 139 mph. So this was one of the fastest amphibious cargo planes of its time.
